A Letter to My Younger Self

For a long time, I shared only parts of myself. Today, I want to share something more personal.

This is a letter to my younger self — and maybe parts of it will speak to your own journey too.

Hey, younger you.

This is what I would tell my younger self—what I wish I had known, and what I could have done much sooner.

Girl, you’ve got guts.

You lived by your own free will from your teenage years onward. Your courage lit the path ahead of you. It took you to places you once only dreamed of—places you called home. You met strangers who became family.

Your independence was your fuel.

You learned to care deeply for the well-being of others. But you lost yourself when you made yourself responsible for someone else’s happiness. I know that pattern came from childhood.

I’m so grateful you broke that pattern and walked away.

As you kept moving toward new destinations, through different countries and places, you began to hear your inner landscape speaking to you.

The wisdom of your soul was always there,

carried softly like the sound of the wind.

I’m grateful you became still enough to listen.

It takes strength to stay quiet.

It takes patience to remain calm while the world around you judges who you were and who you are now. Let them talk while you remain rooted in yourself.

I wish for you trust.

Trust in yourself, in your present, and in your future.

Your light never fades.

Sometimes that light will surprise you. Be curious enough to discover every shade of it.
